Fulton Hogan has undertaken the design, construction and commissioning of all works associated with the 60ML and 80ML dam upgrades including civil, electrical, sump pump, piping, liner and cover works.

Working in a remote, live mining environment has required a number of specialist processes to ensure worker safety as well as protection of significant geotechnical, environmental and cultural areas.

Scope includes:

• Demolition and removal of existing liner, buried inlet and outlet pipework, and sumps
• Design, supply and installation of:
  • Leak Detection & Recovery System (LDRS)
  • inlet and outwork pipework
  • inlet sump and outlet sump
  • Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene (CSPE) liner and cover
• Remediation of dam subgrade to address degradation due to leakage or any other effects
• Install new level transmitter, sump pump, sump pump level transmitter, chlorine analyser, flow transmitter and junction box
• Install and terminate new field cabling and conduits, motor control gear and PLC cabling
