Fulton Hogan Egis O&M Pty Ltd has been awarded the operations and maintenance contract for the widened M4, M4 East, M5 East tunnel and New M5.

Delivery of the WestConnex motorway has reached another important milestone with a contractor selected to operate and maintain Stages 1 and 2 of the project.

Fulton Hogan Egis O&M Pty Ltd has been awarded the operations and maintenance contract for the widened M4, M4 East, M5 East tunnel and New M5.

Having one contractor oversee the operations and maintenance for WestConnex enables savings by removing duplication of separate contractors managing different sections of the motorway.

The contract has been awarded to ensure early involvement of the operations and maintenance provider to support the finalisation of the designs for the M4 East, New M5 and the preparatory works for the M4-M5 Link.

This will ensure operational requirements for tunnel support systems and long-term maintenance requirements are taken into consideration.

Fulton Hogan Egis O&M Pty Ltd was one of three companies invited to tender for the operations and maintenance contract earlier this year, after five expressions of interest were received from industry.
