Fulton Hogan officially commenced operations under the Victorian Road Maintenance Contract (VRMC) for the Loddon Mallee region on the 1st of July, marking an important milestone for our business, our people and the communities we serve.
The contract expands Fulton Hogan’s presence across regional Victoria and will see our teams maintain approximately 5,000 kilometres of road network stretching from Kyneton through to Mildura. The work includes routine and planned maintenance activities across pavements, roadside infrastructure, drainage, structures and other critical transport assets.
The commencement of the contract also represents a significant investment in regional communities, with Fulton Hogan welcoming more than 70 new team members and establishing operations across seven new locations throughout the region. New depots and offices have been established in Bendigo, Kyneton, Echuca, Swan Hill, Donald, Red Cliffs and Ouyen. The expansion brings valuable local knowledge and experience into our business while strengthening our ability to deliver responsive and reliable road maintenance services
For Fulton Hogan, people have been at the centre of the mobilisation from day one. Throughout the transition process, our focus has been on supporting employees, creating strong local teams and ensuring they have the resources, systems and leadership needed to succeed. This people-first approach reflects our commitment to building a safe, inclusive and high-performing workplace where local knowledge is valued and communities benefit from familiar faces maintaining the roads they rely on every day.
The Loddon Mallee contract also builds on Fulton Hogan’s experience delivering Victorian Road Maintenance Contracts across Barwon South West and Gippsland. By combining proven maintenance expertise with modern asset management tools and consistent systems, our teams are well-positioned to deliver efficient, data-driven, and customer-focused outcomes for the Department of Transport and Planning, and the communities that depend on the network.
As we begin this next chapter, we look forward to working closely with local communities, customers, suppliers and stakeholders to keep people moving, improve network performance and deliver safer, more reliable roads across the Loddon Mallee region.
