Dylan voted NZ contracting’s emerging leader

19 August 2024:

Wellington Contracting Divisional Manager, Dylan Fraser, has won New Zealand’s premiere contracting industry award for people under the age of 30.

At Friday night’s (16 August) CCNZ National Awards at ILT Stadium Southland, Dylan was crowned the Z Emerging Leader, in recognition of his outstanding leadership skills and character.

In just six years Dylan has progressed from graduate trainee to contracting divisional manager, responsible for a team of almost 100 across four departments in the Wellington region.

The judges recognised Dylan’s “authentic, brave and insightful approach”, commenting that he was “setting new standards in leadership”.

“Dylan strikes the tough balance between striving for results and understanding the care and importance of engaging his team in what matters, all of which is needed to truly create a high-performance culture,” CCNZ said in a statement.

It was an especially big night for Dylan. Fulton Hogan’s Chatham Islands maintenance contract, which he oversees, was a finalist in the Excellence in the Maintenance and Management of Assets category.

Dylan is shown with his partner Lauren and daughter Blair at the awards.
