$200,000 Government Grant For Bitumen Research

FH24

Fulton Hogan has secured a $200,000 grant from the Government to help create an environmentally friendly, locally sourced, bitumen binder.

Fulton Hogan National Bitumen Advisor Glynn Holleran will be coordinating Fulton Hogan’s leading edge capability   and scientists from SCION, a crown research agency. It will see the team help develop rheology modifiers from sustainable NZ materials, a development that would change the industry.

Including Fulton Hogan’s contribution, the total project cost is $500,000 and it will run over three years. When successful, it will help reduce Fulton Hogan and the industry’s environmental footprint by minimising waste, and reducing the amount of imported products.
