Construction Engineering

Civil | Mechanical | Electrical

Construction Engineering is less about designing a concept, and more about how to bring that concept to life – because you’ll actually see what you’re working on come to life!

Our Construction Engineers work in a fast-paced environment where no challenge is the same. They need to be dynamic to find new innovative solutions to all the problems that are thrown their way, such as: building a bridge to reduce travel times; laying asphalt on a road to improve drivers’ safety; maintaining a water treatment plant to ensure people have access to clean drinking water; or upgrading an airport runway to increase travel capacity.

Delivering these exciting projects is no small task, but the lasting legacy they leave is big and tangible.

Accounting & Finance

Our National Accounting Program will allow you to experience all facets of our business on a rotational basis as you will cover our different business streams: Construction, Infrastructure Services, Utilities, and Shared Services in New Zealand.

Working with all levels of management, you will be exposed to a wide range of accounting functions, including: commercial analysis, management accounting, financial reporting, job costings, month-end processes and internal auditing.

This will provide you with a unique range of learning and development opportunities that will help you to see the big-picture behind the numbers and understand how we build and manage critical infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand that connects communities and helps us to shape a better world.

To further your accounting qualifications, we are CA and CPA accredited, and support graduates in their professional development.

A Graduate Surveyor will work cooperatively with the Survey Manager and the broader Fulton Hogan team to support multiple work fronts across our construction projects.

Working at both an office and site-level, this role will see you assisting with the management of daily survey records, general set-out and conformances, and planning site survey requirements with project staff. Business Streams

Participants enter our Graduate Programme by joining one of our three business streams: Construction, Infrastructure Services, or Utilities.

Construction

Every day, our Construction teams are involved in building the transport infrastructure that connects and enhances the lives of communities across Australia.

Our diverse teams work together to deliver complex and major projects, such as road duplications, new bridges, rail upgrades, and airport runways. Delivering these exciting projects is no small task, but the lasting legacy they leave is big and tangible.

As the demand for infrastructure continues to grow, there has never been a better time to be part of changing the shape of Australia by building landmark projects for the benefit of our communities.

Construction

Our Infrastructure Services business has a long, industry-leading history working on and maintaining the vast network of roads, ports and airports across Australia that take us to where we need to be, safer and sooner.

You might have seen our Infrastructure Services team spray sealing or paving your road, or around your local area making sure other road assets are maintained to the best possible standard.

You may even travel each day on the surfacing products that have been developed by our highly-skilled, dedicated technical staff and manufactured from our network of quarries, asphalt, emulsion and PMB plants.

Construction

Our Utilities business brings its delivery expertise to some of the most important and essential daily services: water and telecommunications. Our team works collaboratively with major utilities providers to construct, augment and manage this critical infrastructure to provide greater reliability and certainty for the community. As the consumer-driven need for power, data, and clean water continues to grow, we see ourselves playing a big part in securing Australia’s utility infrastructure into the future.
