Meet the team

Brian Northern, Group Chief Information Officer

Brian-Northern-Group-Chief-Information-OfficerBrian was appointed to the role of Group Chief Information Officer in 2011 where he is responsible for all information technology and systems in Fulton Hogan across Australia and New Zealand. Previously, Brian worked as the IT Manager and Business Analyst for the New Zealand business.

Brian joined Fulton Hogan after spending 15 years in the management consulting industry working in multiple locations throughout the world including the UK, Europe, Asia, USA and Africa.

Brian’s qualifications include a BBS and an MBA. He is also a member of the Institute of IT Professionals (IITP) in New Zealand.

 

 


Georgia Allen, Group Communications Manager

Georgia is the Group’s Communication Manager providing strategic communication and stakeholder engagement direction to the New Zealand and Australian operations for all shareholder, internal and external communication activities. Prior to this, she was the Australian Communications Manager and delivered a number of strategic change management projects including the rebranding from FRH Group to Fulton Hogan in 2007 and the acquisition and subsequent integration of Pioneer Road Services in 2010.

Georgia has extensive experience in the roading sector having worked within the private sector and road authorities, including ten years at VicRoads as a communication and engagement specialist.

 

 


Gerry Shutt, Group GM Business Systems & Information

Gerry was appointed to the role of Group General Manager Business Systems & Information in October 2014.

In this role Gerry is responsible for working with IT and the operations across New Zealand and Australia to facilitate and coordinate the development of operational business systems and information management.

Gerry has worked with Fulton Hogan in Australia and New Zealand in a number of roles since 2008. He has over 30 years’ experience in the construction and civil infrastructure industry, spending much of that working with international construction companies in Hong Kong.

Gerry’s qualifications include a BSc in Civil Engineering.

 


Jane Falconer, Executive GM Procurement

Jane was appointed to the Executive General Manager Procurement role in March 2014. In this role she is responsible for establishing and leading a central procurement function to support Fulton Hogan’s third party purchasing activity across New Zealand and Australia.

Jane joins Fulton Hogan’s group management team from the automotive and energy sectors in Australia where she has spent over ten years developing and implementing strategic procurement teams and processes into organisations to reduce operating costs, manage suppliers and create sustainable value for organisations.

Jane’s qualifications include a BSc in Chemistry and an MBA.

 

 


Michael Cockrem, Group Manager Risk & Assurance

Michael was appointed to the role as Group Manager for Risk & Assurance in March 2014. In this role he is responsible for leading the Group’s assurance function overseeing strategic risk and risk management processes.

Prior to this he worked as the Business Financial Accounting Manager for Fulton Hogan’s Australian operations before moving into a Group role as Financial Accounting Manager for both the New Zealand and Australian operations.

Before joining Fulton Hogan in 2010, Michael worked at Deloitte in the area of assurance and advisory. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the firm in the UK in 2001.

Michael has a BSc in Economics and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Institute of Internal Auditors (Australia) and the New Zealand Society of Risk Mangement.
