ASSET MANAGEMENT
Fulton Hogan’s Asset Management Team is responsible for disseminating asset management best practice throughout the Company and developing people, systems and tools so that Fulton Hogan can deliver “best for road” solutions for our Clients.

Our Team has developed several systems and tools to enhance its decision-making in choosing best for road solutions.  These systems and tools include a visual rating system for programming and monitoring performance; a prioritisation treatment selection system – this system prioritises sites based on high speed condition data, with different weightings being given to the various condition parameters; life cycle cost analysis spreadsheets for determining best surfacing treatments; and a low cost roughness measuring tool.

In addition, Fulton Hogan has developed a variety of other systems, tools, maintenance strategies and guidelines to ensure a “best for road“ service is delivered.  The use of these depends very much on the individual Client’s needs.  Through closer working relationships, we are able to maximise the benefits from these technical developments.

LABORATORIES
Fulton Hogan’s laboratories provide a vast array of testing services to internal and external customers, covering civil engineering materials testing through to water and air quality monitoring. All laboratories maintain ISO 17025 accreditation and utilise centralised quality and information management systems to provide a dependable, consistent and high quality service.

As well as covering mainstream testing, Individual laboratories operate specialist services and are considered centres of excellence in these areas. This expertise is made available through the company through close co-operation between laboratories enabling customers to deal only with their regional laboratory if required.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
Fulton Hogan’s technical team of engineering advisors provides specialist advice in all aspects of mechanical design, compliance, construction, installation and purchasing of machinery.

This team establishes and supports best maintenance management practices for optimum plant reliability.

Involved in specialist machinery development initiatives like the MULTISPRAY® and WATERCUTTERTM 

PAVEMENTS AND SURFACING
Fulton Hogan’s Pavements and Surfacing team has extensive experience in structural design of unbound and stabilised granular pavements, structural asphalt pavements, forestry roads, airports runways and container yards. We have specialists in pavement and surfacing materials and production as well as expertise in pavement modelling and construction techniques.

Our team provide the service of fault finding through forensic investigations and provide alternative construction methodologies for both new build and rehabilitation projects. The team ensures best practise by developing specifications and we are heavily involved in research and development work for pavement and surfacing materials and systems.
