 Fulton Hogan 2012 Asphalt Pricing

At Fulton Hogan we are committed to supplying high quality asphalt products at competitive prices and we continuously strive to find innovative ways to reduce manufacturing costs.

Significant reinvestment into the business operations along with the unavoidable rising costs associated with the production and supply of asphalt products has resulted in a review of our pricing structure.

Effective from 1 April 2012, the price of asphalt will increase nationally by $12/t (excluding GST) – this increase may be higher in some regional markets due to different cost structures. Standard escalation relating to bitumen costs will continue to apply.

Fulton Hogan will honour any existing contracts, however on the expiry of those contracts the above price increase will apply. We trust that by providing you with advance notice you will be able to incorporate these rates into your estimating process.

Fulton Hogan deeply saddened at passing of CEO Bill Perry

Fulton Hogan is deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden and unexpected death of its New Zealand Chief Executive, Bill Perry, who passed away on Saturday morning (30 July 2011). He was rushed to Christchurch hospital early Saturday morning suffering from an aggressive meningococcal infection and died some hours later.

Messages to the family may be sent by email c/- Fulton Hogan to info@fultonhogan.com or addressed to the Perry Family, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545.

In lieu of flowers, the famiy has asked that donations of support to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Surf Life Saving in New Zealand or Australia would be greatly appreciated and may be made at the service.

Bill's funeral service was held at Andrew's Presbyterian Church at Rangi Ruru, 59 Hewitts Road, Merivale on Friday 5 August 2011.

Nick Miller, managing director for the Fulton Hogan Group, said the sympathies of the entire company are with Bill’s wife Nicole and his three children Sam, Eliza and Angus.

"Bill was a charismatic leader who led from the front. He was a big man, with a big heart, totally committed to his family and who was always at his best in a crisis. In his three years as chief executive Bill tackled all the big issues head on.  The tough economic conditions caused by the global financial crisis on our contracting business and the Christchurch earthquakes showcased his outstanding leadership.

“His values and principles were unwaivering. Australian by birth and education, he quickly became a kiwi by adoption. His wisdom, knowledge, personality and sense of humour overlayed a steely resolve to do nothing but his best for his people, the company and the wider community.

”For all of us at Fulton Hogan, Bill was not only a very respected and trusted work colleague but also a very good friend who will be sorely missed by a large number of people both in the company and wider business and contracting fraternity. He made friends easily,” Nick Miller said.

Bill Perry was a member of the Stronger Christchurch Infrastructure Rebuild Alliance (Stronger Christchurch Alliance), a member of the Fulton Hogan Group Executive, a director of Associate companies, a board member of Roading New Zealand, a member of Business Leaders Safety Council and a former member of the Auckland Motorway Alliance.
